Canon EOS R6 Mirrorless Digital Camera features Dual Pixel CMOS AF II, In-body Image Stabilization, 4K video capability, People and Animal Detection, and more. It has been designed to satisfy the needs of both photographers and makers of video content who need a robust and adaptable camera to keep up with their active lives. Thanks to its high-performance CMOS sensor and DIGIC X image processor, it can effortlessly switch between shooting fast-paced action sports and 4K cinematic footage.
The EOS R6 delivers moderate resolution to match a more manageable workflow, especially for individuals working with the web and tiny print forms as their final output. It is built around a redesigned 20MP full-frame CMOS sensor. Together with the optimized DIGIC X image processor, this sensor offers outstanding still and video capabilities as well as sensitivity ranging from ISO 100-102400 and expandable to ISO 204800.
The 20MP sensor offers UHD 4K video recording at up to 60 frames per second in addition to Full HD at 120 frames per second for slow-motion playback. Both Canon Log and HDR-PQ are available for internal recording in both formats at 4:2:2 10-bit for high dynamic range output and more control over color rendering. Additionally, external recording through the HDMI connection offers clear 4K output to an optional external recording, and Dual Pixel CMOS AF is enabled for all recording settings.
The Canon EOS R6 camera offers a highly responsive Dual Pixel CMOS AF II system. The 1053 selectable focusing points of the upgraded Dual Pixel CMOS AF II provide wide and even coverage, covering almost 100% of the image frame. Similar to how a camcorder gains focus, this focusing technology offers quick and smooth performance. In order to eliminate focus hunting and offer a wide and dense network of phase-detection collection elements throughout most of the image sensor, this technology includes two independent photodiodes within each pixel. This allows for quicker, more precise control of focus placement.
The R6 has five-axis sensor-shift image stabilization, a first for EOS cameras, that can effectively adjust for up to an amazing eight stops of camera shake to accommodate handheld shooting with slower shutter speeds. Additionally, for both native RF lenses and adapted EF lenses, this stabilization technology functions in conjunction with lens-based optical image stabilization.
The Canon EOS R6 Mirrorless Digital Camera has a high-precision 0.5-inch OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) EVF with about 3.69 million dots and a 23mm eyepoint. A bright, clear, and colorful 100% view of the subject is offered by the EOS R6’s EVF, which supports a 120 fps refresh rate. when switching from a landscape to a portrait arrangement, displaying a clear image and a wealth of shooting data that rotates with the camera’s angle.
The EOS R6 camera has two card slots for UHS-II SD memory cards, making use of its small design.
