The DJI Phantom 4 RTK has rethought its drone technology from the ground up, revolutionizing its systems to achieve a new standard for drone accuracy – offering Phantom 4 RTK customers centimeter-accurate data while requiring fewer ground control points.
Centimeter-Level Positioning System
The DJI Phantom 4 RTK now features an entirely new RTK module that offers centimeter-level location data in real-time for increased absolute precision in image metadata. Phantom 4 RTK preserves satellite observation data for Post Processing Kinematics (PPK), which can be carried out utilizing DJI Cloud PPK Service*, in addition to maximizing flight safety and precise data collecting. You can adapt the Phantom 4 RTK to any workflow by utilizing a 4G dongle or Wi-Fi hotspot to connect this positioning system to the D-RTK 2 High Precision GNSS Mobile Station or NTRIP (Network Transmission of RTCM over Internet Protocol).
Gather Accurate Data with TimeSync
The DJI PHANTOM 4 RTK Drone To take full advantage of the Phantom 4 RTK’s positioning modules, the new TimeSync system was created to continually align the flight controller, camera and RTK module. Additionally, TimeSync ensures each photo uses the most accurate metadata and fixes the positioning data to optical center of the lens – optimizing the results from photogrammetric methods and letting the image achieve centimeter-level positioning data.
Precise Imaging System
A 1-inch, 20-megapixel CMOS sensor is used to capture the greatest image data. The Phantom 4 RTK may move while taking photographs without the risk of rolling shutter blur, which facilitates mapping missions or routine data collecting. The Phantom 4 RTK can achieve a ground sample distance (GSD) of 2.74 cm at 100 meters of flight height thanks to its high resolution. Every camera lens on the Phantom 4 RTK undergoes a rigorous calibration procedure to guarantee that it offers unmatched precision. The calibration parameters are recorded into the metadata of each image, allowing post-processing software to be customized for each user.
